With a wide-open interface frame design and a cleverly contoured minimal contact facial cushion, the F30i results in fewer red marks, accommodates side sleepers, and negates claustrophobia concerns some may have with other full face interfaces. A top of the head connection to the circuit from the CPAP machine keeps the tubing out of the way throughout sleep. Air flow travels through a soft silicone frame to the face cushion. The F30is ultracompact cushion sits over the mouth and under the nose, never touching the nasal bridge. Features. Ultra-compact full face interface. Flexible conduit frame. The face cushion sits low on the face, covering the mouth and resting under the nose. A soft silicone conduit frame crosses the crown of the head and extends across both cheeks, away from the eyes. Flow from the CPAP machine enters the connecting elbow at the top of the head and travels through the conduit frame to the facial cushion. One size fits all headgear attaches to the silicone frame and rests low behind the head, with no points of contact across the forehead. The frame, headgear, and cushion leave the center of the face untouched. The low profile F30i full face interface permits glasses and leaves vision entirely unobstructed. Sleep the way you want. The facial cushion is curved to deliver stable performance and a fit that endures all night long, regardless of sleeping position. The contours of the interface prevent compression during side sleeping. Accordion-style ribbing across the crown of the head automatically conforms the frame to the individual users head size. The top-up design and self-adjusting frame also stabilize the interface for any sleeping position. The top of the head connection not only keeps the tubing out of the way regardless of position, but it also delivers CPAP flow through the hollow frame to the over the mouth cushion. Four points of attachment let you customize the interface for your best fit. The hose from your CPAP machine connects at the crown of the head to a swiveling, quick-release elbow that moves 360 degrees. The quick-release elbow offers freedom of movement and supports rapid connections and disconnections from your CPAP machine. The silicone frame flattens for comfort along the cheeks during side sleeping but air flow continues uninterrupted through the opposite side of the frame. Air vents on the elbow and the face cushion direct air flow away from you and your partner for a quieter night's rest. Sizing and Fitting. Careful sizing of both the face cushion and the frame is essential to attain the full benefits of all the unique features this interface offers. The ResMed F30i comes in three frame sizes (small, standard, and large), and the face cushion comes in four sizes (small, medium, small wide, and wide). The cushion size is determined by the length and width of your nose. ResMed has a size guide to select the best cushion size for your face. Print the guide out and place it under your nose or use the one included in the starter pack. Scale up to the larger cushion if either the length or the width of the nose lands in the next size up. The optimally fitting frame centers on the head and is not too close or far from the eyes and ears. Fitting. Undo the magnetic clips from both sides of the cushion. Hold the cushion under the nose with one hand. Pull the headgear and frame over the head with the other hand. Attach.
